Vassrensning - Removing reed

Så var det dags för att vårstäda lite på tomten.

Jag anlitade en grävare med extra lång arm för att rensa vass i ån bakom huset. Den var lite större än jag hade föreställt mig. Det är lite högre timpenning för en långgrävare, men och andra sidan gjorde han jobbet på 5 timmar, som annars hade tagit en mindre grävare flera gånger längre tid.

Tomten var inte vacker tidigare, men efter detta, så är det inte mycket till gräsmatta kvar :-)

Men vad spelar det för roll, vi ska ju ändå gräva om dränering och lägga ny gräsmatta.

Med 20 meters räckvidd, så räckte han över hela tomten.

Tyvärr hittade vi en icke kartlagd kabel i vassen och ville inte riskera att dra av den.

Men som tur var så var vi i stort sett klara med jobbet och fått upp den vass som jag tänkt vi skulle ta bort.

Kriget är över, slagfältet är övergivet.

Efter många timmars jobb är veden kluven och väntar på att bli staplad.

The main bathroom

The main bathroom was earlier a bedroom.

We tore up the old floor to make place for under floor heating.

The brick wall was in bad condition, so we tore it down and replaced it with a wall in wood.

The new dining room was earlier used as a bedroom.

We tore down the wall between the hallway and the bedroom and put in a beam of steel.

We had to redo the entire wall where we should place the TV. The old plaster was of bad quality and cracked and fell off.
